CoronaVirus (COVID 19)

April 6, 2020

Dear Community, Families, Staff and Students,

We are providing you with an update on school closures related to the COVID19 Coronavirus.

Our schools will remain closed through the end of the school year per a directive from Washington Governor Jay Inslee and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal.

This school closure includes all public and private schools in Washington. At this time, all events for the duration of the school year have been canceled, including athletics.  We are extremely concerned about all of our students, especially our seniors, who we know were looking forward to celebrating their kindergarten through 12th grade accomplishments.

We will provide you with information in the near future with regard to grades, graduation, transcripts, scholarships, and continued remote instruction. Instruction will continue to improve as our teachers and students become accustomed to new ways of teaching and learning. We will continue to provide computer resources as needed and will help with connectivity if necessary. If items were left at school we can make them available for pickup. Please contact your principal for assistance on these matters. While this is extremely disappointing for all of us and not the outcome that we would have wanted, it is a necessary step in order for us to do our part in stopping the spread of COVID-19 and making sure we keep as many people as possible safe and healthy.

Rest assured that during the school closures, we will continue providing services, including online learning opportunities and meals to our families. Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
